New construction moves differently than a resale purchase. Here is what to expect and where I help.
- 01Bring me on your first visit. Many builders only work with a buyer's agent who is registered on the first visit to the sales office, so call me before you tour.
- 02Compare communities and builders. Lot location, floor plans, HOA, taxes, and resale outlook.
- 03Understand the contract. Builder contracts are written by the builder. I walk you through deposits, timelines, and contingencies.
- 04Design center choices. Decide which upgrades add value and which are easier to add later.
- 05Inspections and walkthroughs. An independent inspection and a careful final walkthrough before closing.
